He’s got a d-pad, and he’s not afraid to use it.
Just a small demonstration of how well the DPad does work using Picodrive.
I never played any beat-em ups so I can’t show you any cool combos, however, I played some Thunderforce 4 and Snake Rattle’n'Roll.
Not too good there either, but I do hope it shows that the DPad is working perfectly

Oh man I loved Snake Rattle’n’Roll back in the day. Almost impossible to beat like any other old school game but still fun. Good to see these little control demos!

Very nice. Have to say, between the Dpad and Analog demos, I am extremely happy with the result. Now, just to get the Pandora in my Hand

I liked ED’s little tease at the end, too, showing off how he could quickly navigate the system menus by combining the touchscreen, dpad, and action buttons.
Wow, of all the MD games ED could choose from, he picked the best shmup ever, Thunderforce4, just wow :O I’ll have to find out what buttons you need to switch ship speed or change weapon, I don’t think ED had enough time to find out. The music emulation sounds perfect, brilliant rock soundtrack, the gameplay looks perfect, can’t wait to try this game with Pandora’s D-Pad, great work. I also noticed MEGA TURRICAN, STOP IT ED, YOU TEASING ME BADLY

Lords of Thunder begs to differ.
Lords of Thunder was better on PC Engine CD.
Ah, I forgot that the running PCE emulator was for the Wiz. Yeah, I heard the SEGA CD version was quite a bit inferior. Even if most changes were of mere audiovisual nature, a perfectionist would wait for the PCE emulator indeed.

Hopefully I’ll get my console before that judges ban this machine for illegal emulation.
Other than that, it’s pretty much the best thing I ever see for that kind of machine.
Well the wiz didn’t get banned yet so I guess we don’t need to panic about it. You can run all these emulators on a desktop linux or windoze box too so I don’t see how Pandora is any different. There are umpteen vids of various emulators on youtube. I will personally go to Japan and hold Nintendo execs and directors hostage if they would sue open-pandora! Who wants to join my strike-team?
When the core devs are showing them off in demo vids though, its a bit different than just some user making a vid for youtube

Glad the d-pad works well. That is *the* most important part of Pandora and why I want one.
Well seeing as how you’re dpad obsessed how about you just pry that little guy off there when you get your pandora and send me the rest?

lool i hated snake because of the diagonal orientation and struglin to eat balls and jump on misleading platforms
