PSX4Pandora (beta), and a little killer

Baron of phonebrew (just made that up) Zodttd has popped up on GP32X bearing the gift we’ve been waiting for: PSX4Pandora. Zod has been scarce in the Pandora scene recently, but is making up for lost time with a release and then a string of updates in the space of 24 hours. As with any beta, you can expect the occasional glitch, but there are plenty of refinements to look forward to.

Also of interest to those running emus (particularly these early, unoptimised releases) is this handy little utility thrown together by Notaz. Boot into Minimenu, then run this PND to kill all unnecessary background processes (wifi refreshing, some other odds & sods). Then fire up your emu and enjoy those extra cycles. As a wise man once said, “Killing is not nice, but it works.”

The most recent release is actually slower than yesterday’s 2nd release, but it fixes a few other bugs and adds some extra features – with luck development will continue at this frenzied pace and we could have someone fairly decent (with sound), in the not too distant future.
Is hardware graphics acceleration working yet?
Not yet, but it’s reportedly on the way.
Once we hear from Tinnus again, I’ll be reassured and happy.
Love how fast Zodttd’s working on this at the moment. Keep it going man!

He posted recently saying he’s back on the job, so we can expect to see PXS4Pandora looking like this at some stage.

When recording your screen, do it in a WELL-LIT ROOM, with lots of WHITE behind the Pandora! Then you won’t get a contrasty, blurry video.
I have the well lit room and lots of white. Just missing one little item to film. :p
