This isn’t Pandora news, but with your help it could be. The Humble Indie Bundle, if you haven’t already seen it on every gaming site in the universe, is a limited time promotion in support of Child’s Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Wolfire Games invites you to pay whatever you like for a bundle of legendary indie games containing World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru, Penumbra, and now Samorost 2. Versions are available for Linux, Mac and Windows, and it’s all DRM free.
These versions won’t run on your Pandora of course, which leads us to the latest development. It’s now being reported that if the total donation pool hits $1m, the source code for Gish, Penumbra and Lugaru will be released to the public – opening up the possibility of Pandora versions should someone take on the porting job. The total is currently at over $800k, but the promotion ends some time in the next 24hrs! So get on it, and badger your mates to get on it too. You’ll be supporting some very worthy causes and getting some sweet games to boot.
